Another SF weekend

I'm heading down to San Francisco tomorrow for a wedding and long holiday weekend. Back on Monday, hopefully with some SF fashion pics to share.

This young lady clearly has a bright, fashionable future. I love the hipster outfit with the black patent leather coat slung over her shoulder.

Nordstrom Designer Preview - Downtown Seattle

There's something so appealingly eccentric about her style. (When we saw her, my friend and I instantly dubbed her 'Betsy Johnson.') I love the contrast between her flowery dress and her edgy shoes.

Pike Street - Capitol Hill, Seattle

A classic Pike/Pine pair. I especially like the coordinated orange in his outfit.

I'm always impressed when someone can pull off anything as stubbornly un-hip as Birkenstocks. The relative dressiness of his pants and cardigan definitely help.

SoHo, NYC

I like that they're hip without looking try-hard; and it's sweet how neatly his pants are rolled up. They mentioned they're in a band together, and I told her she looked like Francoise Hardy (I'm apparently on a celebrity-lookalike kick at the moment).

MoMA - NYC

A modern-day Jean Seberg in A.P.C. The simplicity of her outfit and haircut are so charming.

Lyell - Nolita, NYC

The Lyell boutique in Nolita is like a little Victorian dressing room, and these two distinctively stylish ladies fit right in there. The high-waisted shorts on the left are only for the brave, but they look perfect on her, and she wisely pairs them with simple flats. And the girl on the right looks like an F. Scott Fitzgerald heroine.

Uniqlo - SoHo, NYC

I love red-checked men's shirts. Many guys seem to find it unusual, but like wearing linen or seersucker, it's just an easy way to look fresh but casual.
