Moganshan Lu, Shanghai

Two very chic gentlemen in Moganshan Lu, sporting Gucci and Paul Smith footwear.

Moganshan Lu sits slightly north of downtown Shanghai and is famous for its many galleries and artists' studios, which visitors can freely walk through. It felt like a massive Artwalk event in Seattle, and much of the artwork on display was very reasonably priced. The feel of the neighborhood itself is both industrial and quaint. I loved it.

Xintiandi, Shanghai

I like her mix of colorful knits on top and simple black on the bottom. And although I saw it everywhere I went, her classic Asian photo-pose was especially endearing.

Xintiandi is an upscale shopping area in the center of Shanghai that was a tad too Western-style for my taste (it reminded me of the Grove in L.A.). But it did have an excellent Barneys Co-Op-ish store out of Hong Kong called I.T that had copious amounts of Isabel Marant Etoile, A.P.C., Y's, and Tsumori Chisato. And the other I.T location in Shanghai at Plaza 66 was even better.

Back from vacation

I'm back from my Asia trip, which was a lot of fun and very inspiring style-wise. I have photos to share from all three cities which I'll intersperse with Seattle photos over the next couple weeks. I'll also write about some of the fashionable places and boutiques I discovered on my trip.

I'm off to DC for the holidays this coming Friday and will be on the lookout there too....So expect a lot of fun posts soon!
