Asics Onitsuka Tigers - Whole Foods, Seattle

Asics Onitsuka Tigers - Whole Foods, Seattle

I found this girl's look very unusual but oddly appealing; it's retro without being hipster-ish. And it's so perfect that she's holding an old-school pair of red earwarmers.

Kersti looking adorable in an APC dress. The white tights are a nice change from the usual grey/black.

Barneys - Downtown Seattle

Barneys - Downtown Seattle

Paul looking coy in his bad-ass outfit and Cheap Monday jeans. It's hard to see in the photo, but he layered a button-up under a black American Apparel t-shirt, then added the vest, which gave his look more texture. Very cute.

Turkey break

I'm taking a little hiatus from fashion-blogging for some quality turkey-time. See you back here next week - same Bat-time, same Bat-channel!

Blackbird - Ballard, Seattle

Blackbird - Ballard, Seattle

Our favorite Blackbird guy, Greg, looking casual yet polished in a cardigan & APC jeans.

We also bumped into him earlier that weekend at Linda's looking especially spiffy - lots of nice layering:

Olivia + Toby - Olivia models for the Impulse blog, and Toby did their winter artwork. I love Toby's little gold headband, and Olivia's sporting that bandanna-tied scarf quite smartly.

Zooey-Deschanel-esque.

I love her look - the patterned tights, the green skirt, the matching umbrella. I've also been noticing more girls foregoing the typical pull-through style of scarf-tying in favor of the "bandanna" tie. I see the guy around Capitol Hill often, and he's always dressed stylishly.

Capitol Hill, Seattle

Another nice-looking pair. The plaid on her coat was very eye-catching from a distance - looked like a built-in scarf.

These two were both terrific-looking and really nice. (Aside: It's about 23x more fun when people are readily accepting and enthusiastic when I ask to photograph them.) His blazer sported some sweet patchwork, and their grey footwear is a nice contrast to the usual black.

Fremont, Seattle

Fremont, Seattle

One of my favorite Seattle photos so far. I love her look (the skinny jeans and flats are perfect), and they both look great against the red/green/yellow.

Three designers at the Thread event in Fremont this past Sunday. Love her yellow sweater and his white glasses.

Nice layering around her shoes. I've always liked the sort of utilitarian look he's sporting - probably some residual Woody-Allen crush on my part.

Merge - Ballard, Seattle

Merge - Ballard, Seattle

Pat at Merge, a new women's boutique on Ballard Ave. I love that she rolled up the pants and wore flats - it gives her outfit a casual, chic twist. The not-black scarf is also a nice touch.

I've always thought this Trovata blazer would be exceedingly difficult to get away with, but he wears it nicely.

A pint-sized fashionista. Plus, she was watching the band with the appropriate, disaffected air of a future hipster.

A duo named Tallboy playing at the Ballard Sunday Farmers' Market. They couldn't be more endearingly, appropriately dressed.
