Fashion Show: Nordstrom Designer Preview
I attended the annual Nordstrom Designer Preview several weeks ago, which featured a runway show of Collectors items for the fall. (Click here for pics from last year's event.) Here were some of my favorites:
Yves Saint Laurent
Versace - a rare moment of color in the show.
The show featured several looks for men, including this one from Marni.

"Take me out to the runway,
Take me out with the crowd.
Buy me some h'orderves and champagne,
I don't care if I never go home,
Let me lust, lust, lust for designers,
If they're no good it's a shame.
For it's one, two, three dresses -
I'm in love,
At the old runway."
My version of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" - but with fashion.
:-)
OOH! I really did the purple YSL top and skirt. That's hawt!
The last dress is sooooo gorgeous. It makes me think of Isabel Toledo.
Nordstrom carries Marni for men? It's about time Nordstrom started carrying interesting men's clothing. For years it's had upscale women's wear (Chanel, Dolce, YSL, Oscar, etc etc etc) and for men, Boss seemed as interesting as it got.
Nordstrom, go to Vancouver, Canada, and look at what Holt Renfrew has done. Their men's store is AMAZING and profitable. Marni, Gucci, Prada, Martin Margiela, Dior Homme, Raf Simons, Miu Miu, and it goes on and on.
