I love her look. The scarf, boots and bag make her denim anything but ordinary.

where is this with the retro blue bench and the bags? jasmine, have you found that your friends dress up a little more whenever you hang out with them? do they get peeved if you don't take their pic?

Hi anon. - Funny question. Many friends/co-workers/acquaintances joke about either dressing up more, or asking when I'm going to take their picture...I just politely laugh & move on. :)

This is strange, I saw this same person on my BFFs blog I See Seattle,

http://iseeseattle.blogspot.com/2007/09/21-september-2007-i-3-ballard.html

It's a lovely outfit.
Perfect for her figure.

...& as for where I took this photo, it's at 20/Twenty in Ballard. (If you click on the photo, you can read the comment I wrote for the Seattle Times.)

Jasmine, as much as I admire your eye for style, I do have to say that I am getting a little tired of the jeans tucked into boots look. It's starting to get a little generic. This is not saying that I don't like your blog; I think you've done a great job, and I definitely use your blog for style inspiration.

Hi bmcd22 - Yeah, I've been getting a lot of very similar shots lately. It's the fall Seattle uniform of late, it seems. So I'm definitely on the hunt for variety...

Re: SEATTLE FASHION MODEL RUNWAY EVENT (10-09-07)

AGAIN, NO TIGHTS OR NYLON STOCKINGS ON ANY OF THE MODELS!

THEY WOULD LOOK MUCH MORE SEXY & FEMININE!

She's totally cute! She carries the look well--it wouldn't work on anyone!

Hi anon. - I feel like boots like this are fairly easy to find at vintage stores, like 20/Twenty (where I took this photo), or a place like Last Waltz at 18th & Union. For new boots in a lower price range, I'm sure Urban Outfitters would have something similar. & for a higher price range, Impulse in Fremont & maybe Barneys would have flat boots...
