I'm not pleased with how I took this photo (it's a new lens that I'm still struggling to get the hang of with indoor lighting), but she was too good to not post. Her outfit is so quietly inventive - the dress over the jeans is an unexpectedly 'young' look, but her thin sweater makes it all very elegant, and I like that her shoes are a little flashy. She also has lovely posture, which always goes a long way. And what I liked best was her hair in subtle pigtails:

Beautiful Picture. Elegance personified. One small correction, its not a sweater, its a poncho :)

At 46 I've learned one of the tricks of aging well is gracefully combining youthful, yet age appropriate stylings. She is an excellent example of the concept, and very well done.
Hi anon. #1 - I struggled a bit to find the right way to describe the top, & felt that 'poncho' wouldn't quite do justice to it...
Hi anon. #2 - Great advice.
I think she has an exceptionally beautiful neck that is complemented well by her gold necklace. I also agree that her posture is her best accessory.
Great color, she is glowing...
I think it's a great photograph, the yellow tinge in the lighting is kind of retro and moody.
Hi the well read fish - Thanks for the encouragement; I came close to not posting her b/c I felt she deserved better than a subpar photo (doesn't everyone?)...
Such elegance! I can only hope to look half as good at her age. So inspiring - I see so many older women wearing either dated, unflattering clothing or on the other hand, overly youthful/trendy, too revealing clothing. She has that natural grace, too, just in her posture, that probably almost everything would look good. And, I love that her pigtails, too - it is nice that she doesn't feel she has to look too "adult". LOVE IT!
I love this photo and I love this woman. I want her to be my mom. She has such a confidence and grace about her. I'd love to see her wardrobe for the rest of the week, because I'm sure she always looks fabulous.
