Pine Street - Capitol Hill, Seattle

Pike/Pine - Capitol Hill, Seattle

I happened to see Kele Okereke, the lead singer of Bloc Party, walking along Pine Street last Saturday. I was too shy to let on that I knew who he was; instead, I just asked if he'd let me take his photo for my fashion blog. He was kind enough to let me.

I think it's hilariously cute that you were too shy to mention the band, but had no problem asking to take a fashion photo. Did you notice him first because of who he is or what he was wearing?

Hi anon. - I noticed him first b/c of what he was wearing. I've made a habit of scanning the folks walking along Pike/Pine when I'm driving by, & I noticed him, then recognized him.

Believe me, it's still hard for me to approach strangers at all to ask to take their pics! I also broke one of my rules in this case, which is that I stopped him while he had his headphones on. But I figured at least I was doing it for a more useful reason than just pointing out something he already knows, like that he's "Kele from Bloc Party." :)

Nice work, jasmine. I'm happy he ran into you, Seattle's ambassador of style :)

He smiled a lot more Sunday night, btw.

Hey k/j - I try to avoid the Paramount whenever possible, but I heard good things about their show. I saw them awhile back at Neumos, & they were very good.
